financialalert is unique in the New Zealand market, as the only coordinated service for New Zealands financial services professionals (and those who work for them) incorporating a magazine, a website and events. Our multi-faceted service focuses on four key subject areas: investments, insurance, financial planning, and business management. We aim to add value and to break news stories, and not just run the same items as the dailies. In 1990, financialalert was launched as the first specialist publication for New Zealands financial services industry. A lot has changed in that time, of course, but the fundamental need for information has only increased. We can say were the best with the enviable authority of the FPIA (the Financial Planners and Investment Advisers Association) survey of its 1,200+ members, conducted in late 2003, which confirmed that financialalert is their most valued information source – and by a wide margin over both the mainstream and trade competitors – among both investment advisers and insurance advisers. Were delighted that financialalert continues to be the publication that New Zealand advisers most value. We are also proud to have been the first trade publication for financial advisers in New Zealand, having been established by our publisher, Graham Rich, with the current editor Anthony Davies, in 1990. Since then, both Anthony and Graham have had a wealth of additional relevant experience. They re-united in mid 2003 to take respective responsibility for editing and publishing New Zealands premiere trade publication for New Zealands financial advisers.
