Lowell, Blake & Associates, which was founded in 1974 to provide holistic advice by assisting individuals and families in the management of their assets and liabilities, all for a modest fee. We are proud of the ethical standards we expect of ourselves, the companies we invest in, and our clients. The fact that our clients have truly prospered under these rather rigid conditions is how we measure our success. We have no outside ownership or debt and each client has at least one stockholder (there are nine) working with him or her. We do all our own research and have always adhered to the proven discipline of Contrarian Investing vs. Modern Portfolio Theory, which we can consider is, an oversimplified insult to intelligent, creative people. We are small by choice, as successful investing requires a great deal of intestinal fortitude rather than mealy-mouthed consensus. In many respects LBA is really a cooperative effort with our skilled, self-made clients engaged in our search for investment opportunities across the world.
