The establishment of the legal predecessor of the PowerQuattro Co., PowerQuattro Ltd. in 1992 by four domestic private companies was motivated by the intention of setting up a development and production company with a substantial innovational base, supplying to the fields of power electronics. In the period between 1992 and 1998 the company intensively increased its market share and in the first half of 1998 through the merger of PowerQuattro Ltd. and the 16th District Construction Company, the PowerQuattro Power Electronics and Construction Joint Stock Company was established. The company has its own real estate property of 17000m2 in the 16th district of Budapest, where the companys premises are also located. The owners of the company are directly or indirectly of Hungarian nationality.
