CanTech was established in 1994 and it is the most important Czech manufacturer of DC power systems for telecommunication and radio communication technologies. The products are used by major telecom companies, GSM operators, army, utility companies etc. Located on the outskirts of Sumperk, in a nice, historical building which accommodates departments of research and development, system designing, engineering, accounting, servicing and sales and marketing, CanTech is a steadily growing company providing customers with the best service and technical support in Czech and Slovak republic as well as in other requested European areas. For building DC power systems are used either company designed rectifiers or ARGUS Technologies [Canada] units together with C&D Technologies [USA], POWER [Canada] and some other manufacturer’s batteries. Placed in sophisticated indoor and outdoor enclosures they meet all telecom standards. All systems are built according to EN 60439. Building reliable, well performing power systems in a range of single to thousands of Amps is the major company goal but beside that the company staff carries out installations as well, sometimes under very difficult conditions, on top of mountains, on the roofs of high-rises, in uneasy access places. One of the successfully finished projects is development and manufacturing of electronic components for power systems remote supervisory and controls, which can be used for remote communication with some other, similar equipment as well. Communication can be executed via dedicated line, leased line, GSM network or Internet. There are a number of other projects R & D team works on like for example battery testers, battery monitors, load disconnectors etc. Between other services that CanTech offers to its customers are installations of Fiber Guide Management Systems applied especially in telecom housings. CanTech has developed a sophisticated battery management system, which allows to register and monitor batteries, state their condition thus saving customer’s money by selecting matching packs of older batteries and on time replacement of failed ones.
