In 1999, a group of farsighted advertising industry leaders formed what is now the Marketing and Advertising Global Network. Today, MAGNET is a group of non-competing, independently owned advertising agencies in major markets throughout the world. The network is comprised of leading agencies, with billings ranging from 8 million to 200 million US dollars, sharing a desire to pursue and achieve excellence in this profession we call marketing. MAGNET provides a way for member agencies to share their experience, knowledge and ideas with other agencies in other parts of the world. Working together, MAGNET agencies provide an easily accessible network of information and financial skills used to enhance agency operations and improve the bottom line. One of the keys to MAGNETs success is its personal, hands-on approach to sharing ideas. To help accomplish this, three meetings are held a year for agency principals and CEOs, each formatted as a no-holds-barred, open exchange of ideas and expertise. (After all, these are your peers... your counterparts in other agencies... who share similar goals and ideals.) Meetings are designed to help members learn, grow and prosper. Members talk about agency concerns. Operational concerns. Financial concerns. Client concerns. They roll up their sleeves and lay it all on the table.
