Founded in 1983, Cadiz Inc. is a publicly-held land and water resource management company. The Company is an internationally recognized leader in the areas of groundwater storage and supply, water-conserving irrigation and desert agriculture. Water is one of the world’s most precious resources. In California, where Cadiz got its start and maintains its base of operations, considerable population increases are placing great demands on existing infrastructure and water supplies. Compounding the issue, California’s current and future population centers are not located where significant precipitation occurs. Cadiz believes that without a reliable, high-quality water supply, many urban economies and the environment are in jeopardy. Accordingly, water resource management forms the core of our business. Our portfolio of assets encompasses landholdings with groundwater resources and water storage availability, agricultural water rights, crops in production, and technologies for water conservation, reclamation, production and conveyance. In total, Cadiz owns approximately 46,000 acres throughout Southern California, all in close proximity to the state’s aqueduct system.
