Placing an Order, here are two (2) ways to place your order: omplete our Online Order Form, attaching your photo to the Order Form. OR Complete our Order Form by hand (you can download our Order Form from our website) and mail us your Order Form along with your photo, slide, negative or a CD. Whats included? Included with your card order, at no additional cost, are the following: Scanning of your photo, negative or slide. Minor editing, cropping, color adjustment and removal of flaws from your photo. We can turn your color photo into a black & white photo or your color or black & white photo into a sepia photo. A Photo Border/Edge of your choice placed around the photo. A Greeting printed on the front of the cards. Your Logo and/or Studio information printed on the back of the cards. Matching envelopes Whats additional? The following services are available at a small additional cost (see Price List for details): A greeting printed inside your cards. A second photo printed on your cards. Return Address printing on your envelopes. Photo editing deemed as more than ‘minimal editing’. If additional proofs are requested, using a different photo or a different photo border. ($20+ additional) Negative or slide scanning ($10 additional for up to 4 photos per order). Sending your photos, By Email, If you are emailing your photo (using our online Order Form) the image must be at least 1000x1500 pixels and saved as a JPG, TIFF or PSD file. If you are scanning your photo in preparation to email it, scan your photo at 300 dpi and save it as an uncompressed JPEG file in 5x7 or 4x6 size. By Mail, If you are mailing us your image, you can send any of the following formats: 8x10 or smaller photo, CD including your image file(s) 35mm or Medium Format negative , Slide , * There is a $10 charge for scanning of up to 4 negatives ,or slides per order. Color Balance, In order to achieve maximum color balance, you must mail us a hardcopy photo. Only with a hardcopy photo will we be able to match the color saturation, brightness, contrast, etc. as closely as possible to your original photo. If you email us your photo, we recommend you request a hardcopy proof to guarantee satisfaction. * If you request an emailed proof, please note that ALL monitors display colors differently. Thus, you cannot necessarily expect the colors you see on your monitor to exactly match the colors on the finished proof. We will use our best judgment and do minor editing, if necessary, when printing your cards. Other Important Information about your Photos and our Cards, Our cards are printed on matte cardstock with various textures (i.e. smooth vellum surface, watercolor texture, linen texture). The cardstock does not have a glossy or pearl finish as you would find at some of the mass production services such as Ofoto or Snapfish. Keep the following in mind before sending us your photos: Glossy finish prints are better than matte finish. If the subjects face is too small in your photo, with a face smaller than the size of a quarter, it will print very soft (a bit blurry with little detail). All photos, CDs, slides or negatives will be returned to you with your order. Order Turnaround Time, You have the option of receiving either an electronic proof via email or a hardcopy proof via mail. Please remember that these are ‘custom’ cards and are nonrefundable. If you select an electronic proof and are not happy with the completed order, once received, you will not be entitled to a refund. Hardcopy proofs are highly recommended to guarantee your satisfaction with your cards. Our order turnaround time is as follows for orders received before the end of each business day (5pm EST, Monday through Friday): If you request an Electronic Proof, it will be sent via email within approximately 3 business days. If you request a Hardcopy Proof, it will be mailed (not received) within approximately 5 business days. If, after having received your proof, you request any changes, your changes will be emailed to you via an electronic proof. Please allow an additional 2-3 business days for each revision requested. Once your order has been approved by you for printing, your order will be shipped within approximately 5 business days via UPS 2nd Day Air. Holiday Season, Our Holiday Season starts November 1st and ends December 31st. This is our busiest time of the year and we must follow very strict production schedules. Be sure to place your orders as early as possible to avoid delays. Our Holiday Card Cutoff date is usually the Monday before Thanksgiving. However, we will post the actual date on our website every fall, as the date may vary slightly from year to year. You have the option of receiving either an electronic proof via email or a hardcopy proof via mail from January 1st through October 31st. (Date subject to change). From November 1st through December 31st, hardcopy proofs will NOT be available for any holiday card orders. During this time, electronic proofs via email are the sole proofing option. Please remember that these are ‘custom’ cards. Thus, if you select an electronic proof (hence, waiving your option to receive a hardcopy proof via mail) and are not satisfied with your order, once received, your order is non-refundable. Exceptions ‘may’ be made only for our 5x7 Photo Cards printed on photo paper, since an electronic proof is your only option OR for any holiday card orders placed between November 1st and December 31st, at which time an electronic proof is the only option. In such cases, you may be entitled to a credit only, not a refund. Our Holiday Season turnaround time is as follows: Electronic proofs are sent within approximately 5 business days after your completed order has been received. Hardcopy proofs (only available through approximately October 31st) are mailed within approximately 7 business days after your completed order has been received. If, after having received your proof, you request any changes, your changes will be emailed to you via an electronic proof. Please allow an additional 2-3 business days for each revision requested. Once your order has been approved by you for printing, your order will be shipped within approximately 7 business days via UPS 2nd Day Air. When placing your order, please calculate the approximate arrival date of your order, based on the above turnaround times to make sure you will receive your cards in enough time before the holidays. Orders accepted after the Cutoff Date may be subject to a 25% surcharge. Payment, We accept U.S. checks, Visa and Master Card. If you are paying by check and are mailing in your, Order, your check must accompany your order. If you have completed our online Order Form and would like to pay by check, your check must be received before we can ship your cards. If you are paying by credit card, the first $35 will be billed upon receipt of your order. Once you have approved your proof, the balance will be charged. Payment information must be provided BEFORE we can start working on your proof. Shipping Information, All orders are shipped via UPS 2nd day air. All packages are insured and most require a signature upon delivery. Please make sure someone will be at your shipping address to sign for the package. The Shipping and Handling charges are as follows: For orders under 250 cards: We DO ship packages to Canada and Europe. However, the cost and delivery time varies depending on the quantity of cards ordered and the location the package is being shipped to. Each order is quoted separately. You can email us your mailing address before you place an order and we will send you a S&H Quote and approximate delivery time OR you can simply place your order and we will email you a Shipping Quote once we receive your order. We will not proceed with your order until you give us the approval on the S&H Quote. Return Policy. If we make a mistake based on the information provided, we will correct it, replace the order, and send the corrected order to you via overnight mail. However, you are not entitled to a refund if the cards are printed with incorrect information, provided by you. You have the option of receiving a hard copy card proof via regular mail (suggested) or a proof via email. Should you choose to receive a proof via email, Photo Card Creations will not be held responsible for reprinting your order or issuing a refund if you are dissatisfied with your cards. You are also not entitled to a refund if you have previously approved a hardcopy proof and decide you do not like the completed order, once received, since the completed order will be an exact duplicate of the hardcopy proof you approved. Exceptions ‘may’ be made only for our 5x7 Photo Cards printed on photo paper, since an electronic proof is your only option OR for any holiday card orders placed between November 1st and December 31st, at which time an electronic proof is the only option. In such cases, you may be entitled to a credit only, not a refund. General Policies. Images are reproduced to our best judgment. Availability of cardstock may be subject to change. Pricing is subject to change. Photo Card Creations can make any adjustments we deem necessary to color balance, sharpness, brightness, contrast, etc. in an effort to get the best quality printed image that most closely matches your photo. Custom Designed Cards, If you do not see a sample of the type of card you would like, we can custom design a card especially for you! Just call us or send us an email with your specific theme or ideas. A minimum charge of $50, and then $25 per hour, after the first hour of work, will apply to custom orders. Most custom orders take an hour or less to design. Custom designed cards are NOT available from October 1st through December 31st. Samples, If you would like to see the quality of the images we produce and/or the paper we use, wed be happy to send you some samples, free of charge. Simply send us an email specifying what type of card(s) youd like to see samples of and well ship those out to you as soon as possible.Rush Fees, If you are in a hurry to receive your order, you can RUSH your order and receive your proof and completed order within HALF of our normal turnaround time. So, during our normal season, we would send your proof within 2-3 business days (depending on which proofing method you select) instead of our normal turnaround time of 3-5 business days and we would ship your order within 3 business days after you approve your proof, instead of 5 days. During our holiday season, we would send your electronic proof within 2-3 business days, instead of 5 days and your order would be shipped within 3-4 business days instead of 7 days, after proof approval. Terms of Use, Photo Card Creations is committed to protecting photographers’ copyrights and expects users of our service to do the same. Each image submitter is required by US law to own the right to, or to obtain permission to, use any image before the image is uploaded or printed at Photo Card Creations. (This permission may be included in the form of your wedding or other contract) At Photo Card Creation’s discretion and in appropriate circumstances, Photo Card Creations may cancel an order placed by a client who infringes upon the intellectual property rights of others. Your physical or electronic sharing of your images constitutes permission for reprinting by Photo Card Creations. Photo Card Creations will not be liable for the content of any Submission and expressly disclaims all liability relating thereto.
