Luso-Brazilian Books is the largest importer and distributor of books and videos in Portuguese in North America. Through our partners in Brazil, Portugal and elsewhere, we have access to the hundreds of thousands of books in print throughout the Portuguese-speaking world. Simply put, if it is in print, we can get it. If its not in print, we will do everything we can to get it. With these resources, we are the American source for books in Portuguese. For portuguese-speaking immigrants and other native speakers, Luso-Brazilian Books is a welcome source for materials from home as well as for materials that help make the adjustment to life in North America. For academics and librarians, Luso allows access to the widest variety of materials, helping fill out library collections and meet research needs. For teachers, we carry every textbook for teaching portuguese, and serve as the exclusive North American distributor of several. For teachers of other subjects, we have available textbooks on virtually every subject. For translators, we carry an extensive list of specialized and technical dictionaries. Parents and their children will enjoy the thousands of childrens books we carry. As a result of the above, Luso-Brazilian Books also represents many publishers, distributing their books throughout North America and assisting them with publishing, printing and sales in Portuguese-speaking countries. History: Founded in 1974 by Curtis Dewees, Luso-Brazilian Books has become an indispensible resource for portuguese speakers. In 2002, the company was sold to is current owners.
