Keiths Plant Books in Something Directory

 

Keiths Plant Books has grown out of my own interest in plants and wishing to find more information about them, especially those less commonly grown in the UK. Searches in second hand bookshops uncovered many books published overseas which I was unaware of, especially South African and Australian, which not only contained a great deal of information on their natural habitats, but were also well produced and illustrated. Another aspect that caught my attention was that many quality plant books were available at discount prices, quite often surprisingly soon after publication. As I enjoyed this feast of plant information, it occurred to me that there must be other people who would not be aware of many of these foreign published books but who would appreciate their information and illustrations. So I started to pick them up when I came across them, and sold them at specialist plant group meetings. Sources of supply of quality discounted new plant books were also tracked down, and contact made with overseas publishers. The quantity of titles available has now made it worthwhile for me to have my own web site. So my business is now supplying both new and secondhand books to plant, gardening and botanic art enthusiasts - growers, libraries, etc. I hope that there is something that helps fuel your enthusiasm for plants.
