Marie Versailles was born in 1936, in Chambly (Canada) and has studied painting at lEcole des Beaux-Arts and Sir George Williams University in Montreal. She also studied sculpture at the Saidye Bronfman School of Arts. She has been exhibiting her work for over forty years, always enjoying great success. She has always believed in freedom, expressing that with a strong will to not belong to any school, nor to follow any rules. She has always experimented with various media, from oil, acrylic, pastel, ink, gouache, to charcoal, and enamel on copper. Marie Versailles incredible love for life is what transpires most from her work, as she uses her rich and abundant inspiration to express her vision of a better world.
