The Distance Depot in Something Directory

 

The Distance Depot was created by two friends, Lynnette Burks and Alison Torrington, who have been participating in endurance and competitive trail riding for almost 20 years. They saw tack and equipment that worked and some that did not work. They wanted to find a reliable resource that had tried and tested what was available on the market. Who better to be the guinea pigs then themselves? They decided to combine their resources and talents. Their creation was The Distance Depot. They manufactured their own Beta Biothane designs and welcomed custom orders designed by the customer. Because they made it, you could create a design that was unique to the crowd. As of April 1, 2006, My husband Kent and I, Kristen Snook-Lacy, purchased The Distance Depot. We are also the owners of Horse Lovers Outlet, Freeman, Missouri. The quality of Lynnette & Alisons workmanship and of their products, was just what we were looking for. I have been involved with horses for the majority of my lifetime. As a young girl, I trained and showed many different horses, of different breed types, in just about every discipline available, from the 4-H level, to national competitions, in stock seat and english equitation, western & english pleasure, many breed classes & competitive trail riding. I have also worked for some of the worlds top endurance riders, including Valerie & Danielle Kanavy, three time World Champions. I trained and competed with them for several years. During my time with them, we competed at many endurance events, and World Championships, and world class endurance competitions, in the USA, Dubai, and France. I was fortunate enough to fly with their Horses to these events, around the world, for Valerie, & The United States Equestrian Team, as a groom. What an experience!! I have worked closely with some of the best veterinarians, farriers, acupuncturists, and horsemen and women in the equine industry. I also had the opportunity to train with Alexandra Kurland, author of Clicker Training Your Horse. She taught me many of her natural horsemanship skills and methods, as well as methods, taught by natural horsemanship teachers such as; John Lyons, Buck Brannaman and Linda Tellington Jones. Through my extensive experience with horses, and my many friends and contacts in the industry, I hope to continue finding and offering you some of the best products available on the market today.
