In 1935, Leon C. Walker started a feed business, and, as farmers requested more dairy supply items, Walker’s filled that need, from the back porch of his son’s house. Later his son, Leon R., opened a small store in their feed mill. Today, the business is run by Amy Walker-Bailey, a third generation Walker, and the store has 80,000 sq. feet of inside and outside inventory. Of course, Walker’s still carries dairy supplies; but, along with serving the needs of the farmer, Walker’s has greatly expanded its lines to cater to the homeowner, the horse owner, the large or small animal lover, and anyone who’s looking for a unique shopping experience.
