When I purchased Western Powersports (at the time it was called Western Yamaha), it was a very small, dark, little dirt-bike shop. While I must say that we were (and still are!!) a great dirt bike shop, I realized that there is a lot more to motorcycling than dirt riding. We immediately expanded, adding street bikes, and making the parts and accessories department twice as large as it was. Thanks to the fantastic support of the local clubs and all the other motorcycle enthusiasts, we have since expanded twice more, quintupling the original size of the parts and accessories department. We also recently acquired our own warehouse, so we wouldn’t have to wait for shipments from the distributors, but could stock the products we need ourselves. We now have the largest selection of parts and accessories in Western Canada, and we stock accessories that the other shops don’t even know the existence of!! We go to the large motorcycle shows in Milan and Munich to see what is new, and we go to the Indianapolis Accessories show every year to see what’s new. There are many things we carry that no other shop in Canada has, like Fender Extenders, which will keep the road dirt from the front of your engine. We also are the only shop in Canada who carries electropneumatic horns that are entirely covered in chrome. They look absolutely fabulous, and are 105 decibels, so that when you blast the fool in the Buick, not only will he hear you, but you may stop his heart while you are at it! One of our favourite accessory lines is the Mustang Saddle. We are the sole Canadian retail distributor, and have come to love their saddles. They are the most comfortable saddles you have ever sat on. You can ride on a Mustang saddle for the whole day, and get off the bike full of energy, and with much less pain than you ever thought possible. We carry the full line for almost every brand of bike. Treat your butt to one today! All of our employees actually ride motorcycles, which, surprisingly, is very unusual in our industry. Most shops have one or two riders, and that’s it. As a result, we use the products we sell, and so can keep an eye out for lack of quality, and try out the trick new items before we put our stamp of approval on it. As a result, we are sending parts and accessories all over the world. Everyone has figured out that we will have it in stock, or if we don’t, we will know where to get it. Our main line is Yamaha Motorcycles, ATVs, and Snowmobiles, as well as Generators and Water Pumps. We find the Yamaha line to be one on the best, most reliable, and well finished machines we have ever seen. Also, they have excellent backup, so that if, on the odd occasion, there is a problem we can get it fixed, and you back out enjoying yourself as soon as possible. We have also done a lot of customizing of Yamaha Motorcycles, and as a result, we have built up a huge supply of Genuine Yamaha Accessories, so you can make your Yamaha Motorcycle look, and function, exactly the way you want it to. Another line which we have been handling since 2001 is Triumph Motorcycles. We are very excited about handling Triumph, and are carrying a full line of Triumph Accessories and Clothing. Triumph has risen again, and are doing a very impressive job building beautiful, fun Motorcycles. If you are looking for something a little different, come and look at the bikes we have in the showroom! Our selection of used motorcycles is second to none as well. It may not be the largest selection in the area, but that’s because we only take the very best bikes on trade, and we would not want to sell you something that we wouldn’t want to ride ourselves. We offer an unconditional warranty on our used bikes. We will cover everything on the bike from burnt out bulbs to flat tires. I defy you to find another motorcycle shop in the world that will back their used bikes as well as we do! That brings me to our attitude towards customers. Our entire concentration is on customer service. That may sound like the same old dead horse we are beating, however we have achieved a level of customer service that is far beyond anything you may be experiencing at your present shop. We have assembled a team that will “Spoil you with service” so much that you will never be happy with how you are treated at other powersport shops.
