The Gambetta Method represents a unique and innovative approach to training and rehabilitating athletes based on thirty plus years of experience working with a multidude of sports at all levels of competition. As we move into the twenty-first century the field of athletic development & enhancement is still in its infancy. The opportunities to move forward, innovate and define the field certainly exist. The essential question is will the coaches, and for that matter all involved embrace change and continue to move ahead or will they stay mired in the status quo. Tom Kelly in “The Art of Innovation” states the dilemma “No one gets ahead by copying the status quo.” To move forward and raise the level of training with the next generation of athletes will require a significant paradigm shift. It will require a move away from the Newtonian, linear, reductionism approach that has gotten us to this point, but will hold us back from making future progress. Advances in science in the twentieth century logically lead us to a quantum approach to training. The quantum approach focuses on relationships and connections.
