Tacklesport has been a market leader in the production of multimedia sports teaching and coaching products for more than a decade. In 1994 the company set out with a simple aim of developing products to support teachers and coaches in the delivery of their sessions and lessons. As the acceptance of multimedia grew with advances in computer technology, and ICT became an integral part of teaching and coaching, the range of products and services offered by the company expanded. By 2000 the company had become the first in the UK to develop resources specifically for the National Curriculum in schools and the first to provide bespoke resources for coaches working both at national and club level. The BBC Sports Academy website was developed from the highly acclaimed Howzat! 2nd Innings created for the ECB, and coach support packages have been created for use at the Olympics, in the Premiership of English Rugby, and by the FA to support its Soccer Stars website and U20’s football teams. In creating a greater awareness for the use of technology in coaching and teaching sport skills the company has been at the forefront of advances in coaching and the aim of improving teacher/coach effectiveness and student/player experience is being achieved. The company has the ability to deliver two and three dimensional animation, provide full motion analysis and produce commercial quality film and video.
